Poplar Springs has a heart for reaching the lost through missions. Here are some of the ways that PSBC is fulfulling the Great Commision by being witnesses “in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Poplar Springs is involved in missions right in our backyard. PSBC is a member and supports the Chattahoochee Baptist Association of churches. Our association provides training for our churches, starts church plants right here in Hall county, and runs the Good Samaritan Food Bank.
PSBC also participates in the Family Promise of Hall County, an organization that works to find homes and stable income for homeless families in our area. Four to five weeks a year, our church hosts the families involved in this program. You can read more about Family Promise on their website.
Southern Baptist Cooperative Program
As a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, our church supports what is called the Cooperative Program. This program is a unified plan of giving through which cooperating Southern Baptist churches give a percentage of their receipts to support missions and ministries in their state and at the national and international levels.
Helping Hands Foreign Missions
Helping Hands Foreign Missions is a missions organization that works in Bolivia, Uganda, and locally as Disaster Relief responders. PSBC has been involved with HHFM for many years through financial support of their missionaries, going on mission trips, and being part of their disaster relief teams.
